Lawrence Kansas

Yesterday we headed up to Lawrence to watch the KU women's basketball team play. I had gotten the tickets for free and thought it would be a fun family thing to do.

We got to the Fieldhouse at 2 for the 2:00 game (according to the tickets) to find out that it was really a 5:00 game. Eek. Well, we didn't panic. We headed back into the car and drove around while Abby finished up her nap in the car. I drove the girls through campus, showed them all the places I lived, showed then where Uncle Tom lived and checked out some of the big jayhawks around campus. Then once Abby woke up we started our stops.....

First Stop: KAPPA!

Both girls LOVED running up the stairs, rolling down the hill, walking around the first floor and basement and seeing Mommy's picture on the composites hung around the house. Upon leaving they both told me they wanted to live there with their friends one day :) And then panic set it.... :)

Second Stop: Jayhawksstatue in front of Union

Third Stop: Museum of Natural History. They loved the bug exhibit and seeing all the animal exhibit. They also LOVED any ipad they saw throughout the building :) Oh, and the fly mating kareokee :)

Stop 4- Basketball game (in post to come)

It was a fun and unexpected day at the University of Kansas. I think Daddy enjoyed it there too :)
