Anna just makes me laugh...

The other night I told Anna the score of her softball game and she responded with, "Wow. Wait.... how do you score points in softball?" I said, "Are you serious?" And she stared blankly at me, so I told her that teams score when players cross home plate. She jumped up and down and said, "so I scored for my team today????? Yippppeeeee!"

And I later found out that she told Rob after the game that she hit her first home run today because she finally ran across home plate!!!!

Should I mention this is her 3rd yer playing softball?

Love this child....

Deep thoughts by Ashley

"Mommy, I was at school in the bathroom and I looked at myself in the mirror and thought, I am pretty. I am very pretty. I understand why boys would have crushes on me; if i were a boy I'd have a crush on me."

Goal to instill Confidence in my children- NAILED IT!

Kindergarten Round Up

How is this possible????????

Abby went to Sunset Ridge for Kindergarten Round up about a month ago....

All decked out in spirit wear and excited she showed up in Abby fashion; excited and then completely shy.

This year was different in that I was able to participate in the day with her. We visited each room for 20 minutes to meet each teacher and to learn about what to expect in kindergarten. Teachers tried to interact with her but she would hide under her "shell." Books, crafts, activities and social circles- nothing would break her shell. A teacher did give her Joy the stuffed animal to carry around which made her feel a little better.

Abby's feeling on the day- "It was fun. I am a little bit nervous and a little bit scared and a little bit happy. Do I still go to Hilltop now???

This little ones is going to miss her Hilltop but with time, will do well.

Can't believe my baby is in full day Kinder next year... CRAZY!

Twinsies

These two are looking more similar day after day.... 2 little peas in a pod! Just ones a little more sassy and bossy then the other :)

Ashley's tiny room

She just loves her tiny room!

Ganglion Cyst

Abby went to Children's Mercy to confirm that the bump on her thumb was a ganglion cyst. Once confirmed we set an appointment for early June for surgery to remove the cyst. They say it's a pea sized cyst.

She was such a trooper so we couldn't resist a trip to Target where we found new LOL dolls!!! YIPEEEEE!!!

Mommy and her baby...

First Communion for Friends!

A couple Sundays back we attended some of Anna's best friends first communion mass. Anna LOVED seeing her friends dressed up so pretty!

Ashley's Store Week

Ashley was in heaven last week at school; it was store week!

they got to plan, create and sell their own creations to other kids in their grade. She chose to be in the ART group and made origami and 3D flowers. According to her she was the first station to sell out :)

Love her gift and love for art!

Anna's Field Trip

Anna went on a field trip to see a play at the Coterie and then to Kaleidoscope. Unfortunately I didn't get to go (they had enough parent volunteers) but at least I got to see her fun unwrap during the day from photos from friends. As usual, she had a blast!
