She DID it!

Yesterday Anna finally did it- she swam the deep end test all by herself :) Her coach had her jump into the deep end and swim the entire length of the pool without touching the ground.

She had been ready for quite some time but had to get used to jumping in feet first and swimming in a straight line. She was super proud of herself; why wouldn't she be!!?!?!?

From now on she can swim without a bubble during play time only if she completes the deep end test beforehand :)

Luckily my phone has a video camera and I was able to capture the moment!!!!!

Enjoy!

I also got video of her back stroke- she can swim on her back all the way across the width of the pool woth no help from coach! You go girl :)

Anna's PreSchool Spring Musical

Last Thursday Anna had her Spring Musical at preschool.

Anna and I got there super early to get front row seats and had plenty of time to get some cute pics with her friends :)

 The Two Anna's!
 Anna, Lucy and Anna!
 Anna, Lucy, Anna and Lainey
 Ambriella, Anna, Lainey and Anna!

She had been looking forward to it for a while now and couldn't wait to get up on stage to sing. And she did great!!!! Her class sang two songs: "May there always be sunshine" and "5 Little Ducks." Anna's favorite was 5 little ducks!

Grammy was the only one outside of our family of 5 who could make the show and Anna LOVED having her there!

For those that missed it, enjoy the video :)

Deanna Rose

We got back to Deanna Rose this past week (before it rained and got cold for 4 days straight) and had a blast! We were there around 3 hours an played, played, played! The highlights were:

1. Anna rode a horse the first time this year
2. Ashley pet a horse- was not ready to ride it yet. She says next time we go to the farm she will ride one.
3. Abby took an hour long nap
4. Bought an "Uncrustable" peanut butter and jelly sandwich for each girl at the general store. This made me coolest mom EVER!
5. Fed LOTS of goats
6. Played on the playground for a LONG time
7. Slid down the big red slide, over and over and over again!

This past week at swimming lesson Coach announced that Ashley is officially swimming! She can swim 5-6 feet on her own and is going to start working on coming up to breathe so she can swim longer!

Ashley's Dance Recital Outfit

Here's our Lil Bo Peep!!!!! A little blurry but you get an idea....

Can't wait for May 16th! She loves singing the song loud at our house and saying "point step, point step" during the musical interludes!!!!

38 months old

Happy 38 months Ash Ash!
(two weeks late!!!)

*Favorite thing to say is "Yucky, Icky, Sticky."
*Working on bedtime routine with a sticker chart for cooperation. Since she has napped maybe once this last month when 5 o clock rolls around we sometimes (ok most of the time) fall apart.
*Yes- she is not napping well unless we lay in there with her until she falls asleep. This is pretty much impossible for me to do with Abby at the age she's at (unless she is also sleeping or nursing)
*She is really into pointing out when she is doing something right. Ex: I will tell Anna to stop banging her fork on the table and Ashley will say, "I'm not banging my fork on the table!"
*Still loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Caption Hook, Tinker Belle and Peter Pan.
*Still gives the best hugs :)
*Is full of life and excitement :)

Love you Ash Ash!!!!

Easter Morning

To say the girls woke up excited for Easter is an understatement. They woke up talking 1000 words a minute about:

1. Did the Easter bunny come?
2. What did he bring?
3. Did he leave eggs?
4. Where is he now?
5. How the Easter bunny walks on 2 legs and isn't like our backyard bunnies
6. Asked us if we heard him during the night
7. Wanted to know when they could get out of our bed and go see
8. Looking through the window they would yell out the colors of eggs they saw.

Really, it was a priceless morning....

Once again the Easter bunny didn't disappoint :)

And the hunt in pj's went AWESOME!!!!!

Had a simple breakfast and topped it off with breakfast dessert- the head and tail of the chocolate bunny!!!!!

And then headed to Rob's church for a fantastic Easter morning service.

I just love this day :)
