Grammy/Poppy/Daddy Time

While Mommy, Anna and Ashley were away in Chicago, Abby had some fun here in KC!

Grammy was so kind to watch her during the day Tuesday-Friday while Daddy worked. She and Daddy spent the night at Grammy and Poppy's 2 of the nights and spent 2 of the nights at our house.

She was super happy most of the time; loving all the attention. Grammy played with her at our house some, played at Grammy's house, took her to see Great Granddaddy in Liberty, took her to feed the fish at a lake by Grammy's house and had so much fun! Daddy took her on a Saturday morning bike ride and even after a 13 hour long night sleep she managed to fall sleep on the ride :) They also frequented the pool.

As much fun as she had, she was super excited to see us. And we the same. I swear she grew during those last 4 days because she looks so grown up :( She saw me and got so excited saying, "Mommy?!?!?! Mommy?!?!?!" And she couldn't stop hugging, kissing and cuddling me. It was sweet. The girls were excited to give her the present they picked out for her, Doc McStuffin's plush. She is sleeping with it right now that how much she loved it :)

So glad knowing Abby had a great time while we were off in Chicago :)

All packed and ready to go,,,,,

The Lollipop Bowl

We LOVED the added feature of the lollipop bowl at the hotel (wishing I would have gotten pictures of it there).

We love it so much, and we collected so many lollipops on our trip, that we now we have our own at home....

Random Picture from Street Kiosk!

Last Stop at Garrett's popcorn

And of course we had to go get more orange popcorn for Ash Ash!! She LOVES this stuff (but just the orange ones :))

Powernap

On the last day Ashley took a 10 minute power nap in the stroller. And WOW did it give her energy to last the rest of the day; she actually was wiling to share the stroller with Anna while "Skippity" took over the streets of Chicago :)

Most of the time these little legs were in the stroller. About 1/4 of the time she let mostly Anna (but sometimes Kate) take a ride. And when she wasn't riding, most of the time she was skipping!!!!!!

I don't know how...

... but we managed to walk us and all our stuff from the hotel, through at least 7 elevators in the rain system, on two different trains to our gate at the airport on time. These girls were awesome!

These little girls know how to shop..

.... we we did so much more then shop on this trip :)

Last stop at American Girl

Since the John Hancock Building was right next to the American Girl Store we HAD to check it out just one more time!!!! And  spend the last bits of our hard earned money (and some of moms!) :)

Giordano's again!

Uncle Todd's friend treated us to dinner at the top pizza restaurant in Chicago, Giordano's.

He got us 6:00 reservations to this restaurant which does not take reservations!  When we got there Aunt Anne stood in a long line to check in.  While she was standing in line, a lady came over to us as asked if we were the Horton party of 6 at 6:00 and escorted us right by the huge lines of people and right to the best table in the house!! She said we looked like we were that party with the 3 girls and American Girl bags.

We felt so special!  After an awesome dinner and a visit from the manager a few times, they brought out a surprise dessert with our names on it!!!  How cool!

After that, they told us we were free to leave....they covered our bill!  Our meal was free!

We were VIPs!!!  Woohoo!  Thanks Richie!

Mommy is all out of money.......

So she drank :)

Parmesan cheese- dinner of champions!!!

Not everyday....

.... you get to poop on the 96th floor :)

Ashley joined the club with Aunt Anne and they now have a special handshake :)
