Lenexa 4th Parade

We started the morning of the 4th off with our girls marching/cheering in the Lenexa 4th of July parade. Let me tell you, it is the place to be at 10 am on July 4th in Lenexa. Over 50 entries and TONS of people lining the streets for probably 2 miles.

The girls were troopers. It was nice in that we were number 37 and we got to watch all the other entries march part us. This allowed for us to feel like we did both (walk in and watch the parade) and the girls scored some serious candy! As for during the parade, they cheered along with their friends and Ms Lynn, danced during the times the parade wasn't moving to their dance song they earned, Ashley took breaks as needed in the wagon we pulled along and the cheers/sang and danced the hour and a half away.

I had never been in (or thing I haven't) a parade before (and neither has Rob) so it was a fun thing to do together. And lucky for us, it was horribly hot!

Warm Up!

Watching the Parade pass us by....

And then it was our time....

Performing for judges :)

Taking much needed breaks...

She was ALL about this parade... I mean ALL about it! Look at those red cheeks :)
