My favorite part of the night was when my mom told Anna after she got out of the pool after swimming the back stroke, "Anna you did great!"
Anna looks at her real serious and says in a what do you mean tone, "But I didn't win." Oh my little banana is developing quite the competitive spirit. And mommy LOVES it! She knows she did great but was half heartedly disappointed that she didn't win her heat. In fact in both butterfly (which she was disqualified in for form) and the back stroke she lost her heat by a mere arm (maybe even by less). It's good to see her care; gives her something to work hard towards.
Win or not, this momma is still so super proud of that 5 year old :)

Free- her personal best of 29.01. Placed 15 of 29
Fly- was disqualifies due to form. But she finished the race in 48 sec
Back- her personal best of 37.32. Placed 15 of 23
Free Relay- 2:29.15. Placed 6 of 7 (finally got a purple ribbon!!!!)
Can't wait for Saturday! Championship swim meet at 8 am sharp! And then we get to sleep in the rest of summer :)
And did I mention what troopers Abby and Ashley were? Yup, they lasted the entire meet :) Abby may have had Laffy Taffy with a bite of pizza for dinner and Ashley probably went potty 8 times we were there (she's really into drinking water lately) but we all lasted :)
