I smell poopies!

Today, while I was running around the house, Mommy said, "I smell poopies!" I started to run away from her and she wouldn't chase me so I finally gave up and went into the playroom. Mommy was doing dishes and told me to find a clean diaper so she could change me when she was done with the dishes. Well, this is what she walked in to see when she was done....
Yep! I pretty much was ready to change my own diaper! I had gotten the diaper basket out of the closet, set up the diaper changing pad, gotten out 5 diapers (notice I opened them all too!) and wipes, and was lying down ready to be changed! Mommy couldn't believe it! I really wanted to change myself but haven't mastered that.... although I am working on wiping my bottom (over my clothes) and do a pretty good job of it!

Anna

March Sadness

Yesterday was a heart breaker. Everybody but Daddy felt like this....

(I know picture is reused from earlier post but this shows our afternoon!)

KU lost in the Elite Eight basketball game versus an 11 seeded VCU. It seems like they always lose to teams that are ranked so much lower then them. Everyone but Daddy still loves our Jayhawks but it was a hard loss to take. Mommy pretty much ate her way through the kitchen because the Jayhawks were making me stress eat.

Like I say pretty much every year, next year's our year!!!

Big Girl Bath

Yesterday, Mommy, Daddy and Anna gave me my first big girl bath in the bath tub on my bathtub bouncer. I LOVED every minute of it and didn't make one sound! The water was high enough to cover my bottom and I loved soaking it!

Anna on the other hand wanted in the bathtub with me and when she took the wash cloth to try and wash my head she pretty much flipped over the side and into the bathtub. It's a good thing daddy was there to catch her because we both could have gotten hurt!

I can't wait to take another bath!

Unbelievable!

No one is going to believe me, but since it has happened twice now, I will share it!

About a week or so ago, Ashley was doing tummy time. I had propped her up on her arms to help her lift her head up high and a couple minutes after doing so, she was rolling to her side and then her back. I called Rob, but wrote it off as luck since her arms were propped under her.

Since then, whenever we do tummy time I am very careful not to prop her up on her arms so she doesn't give me a false roll over. But today, as she was laying completely on her belly with arms out to her side, about ten minutes into tummy time she brings her right arm in under her and starts doing the crawl movements with her legs. Minutes later she has kicked herself to her side and, yep you see where I am heading, she kicks herself ALL THE WAY OVER TO HER BACK! I was so excited- Anna and I did the excited Dance! But then I couldn't believe it.... what almost 7 week old can roll over from her belly to her back? I mean Anna didn't do that until she was at least 4 months old- I know... yada yada yada,,, every child is different.... yada yada... try not to compare them BUT I still can't believe Ashley rolled over so early... she is super strong and likes tummytime but still. I just wish I had video to show it!

Let ma take a moment..... OK... I just found out that according to Baby Center milestones, babies can roll over belly to back as early as 2 months but back to belly around 5-6 months.... So maybe I am not completely crazy after all! She's just a week shy of 2 months! Way to go Ashley!

I am sure it will be another couple of months before she does it again but for right now I am pretty proud of my baby girl!

Jenny

One of my new favorite toys is.....

Yep...... It's Mr. Potato Head! Actually... it's the Mr. Potato Head Family that my mom's friend Katie got me for my birthday. It has a Mr, a Mrs and two kids with a bunch of cool accessories. My favorite is obviously the glasses...... why they don't fit me, I don't know but it's pretty frustrating!!!!

Princess Mommy and Princess Anna

Believe it or not, Anna brings the crown to me and tells me to put it on.... then she picks one out for herself and puts one on.... we dance (to princess music of course- If I put on something different when she wants princess music, she makes it pretty obvious that the wrong music is on!), we look in mirrors, we sit together and read and we walk with them on.

Oh the little miss royal highness she is becoming! (Thanks Cousin Kate :) !!!)

Jenny

Pouty Face

We see this pouty face a LOT these days!

Pacifier

This afternoon I was a little fussy so Daddy decided to try out my pacifier. And, unlike my sister, I loved it! I sucked on it for a good while and when I feel asleep, it fell right out of my mouth. That didn't bother me though, I still snoozed off for a while!!

Ashley

BUMBO

Today Mommy and Daddy decided to put me in the Bumbo chair because they thought I was strong enough to sit in it. Well.... I was! I sat in there for quite a while just staring at Daddy, Sister and Peanut. I really liked the chair and am glad to have some other fun thing to do besides tummy time. Mommy and Daddy are quite impressed at how strong I am for only being 6 1/2 weeks old! I think we are going to have to borrow Cousin Kate's old Bumbo because Anna really wanted to sit in it with me!

Cousin Time

We had so much fun with the Fimmen cousins when they were in town a week ago. We played, played and played! We mostly all hung out at Grandma and Grandpa's with each other and of course the dogs!!!! We spent so much time outside; we walked to the playground, went on wagon rides, spent LOTS of time swinging in the swing, played garbage truck on the stairs, Aunt Carolyn tried to teach Anna how to ride a tricycle, blew bubbles, traced each others bodies with chalk, chased each other on the tennis court, pushed each other in strollers and had so much fun!

One day we went to a bounce house and it was AMAZING!!!!!!! Ashley stayed back at Grandma's with Grandma, GiGi and Matt while everyone else went to play and then out to eat Mexican after. That was an awesome day! Then that night, everyone came over to Grandma and Grandpa's to watch KU and have a last dinner with the Fimmen cousins before they drove back to Dallas the next day. ROCK CHALK! We love them so much and can't wait to see them in a couple weeks when we attempt a road trip down with Mommy!
