Leland's visit

Cousin Leland was in town and they had decided to stay with us for a couple of nights. It was super fun having guests at our house; they were our first!

We played and played and played. We ate and ate and ate. We watched an Elmo movie. And we even had Henry and Frances over for a yummy dinner that Aunt Megan and Uncle Jeff cooked us. We had a blast and hope that the next time they come in town that they stay with us again, or at least visit for a day!

PS Will post more pictures when we get them from Aunt Megan. She took more then mommy did!

Kitchen Helper

Daddy made a stand for us to help him and mommy when they cook. They are sick of worrying about us falling off chairs and stools (which has never happened but you never know). We love it so much that we use it for snack time, to help clean, to eat our snack, to help cook, to relax and even to try and take naps. The only bad thing about it is that it is so super huge that mommy has NO clue where she is going to store it when we aren't using it. And you won't believe it; Daddy's painting it purple soon!

Little helpers

Not only do we love going to the grocery store with mommy but we love putting everything away for her that we can. Sometimes things are too high for us to reach or too heavy to pick up, but we helped with every last bag every single time!

It snowed again!

And this morning we got to run around outside while it snowed on us! AWESOME!

4 Day old snow

It seemed like all the snow had melted in overland park, except for our backyard. Being completely shaded by our trees we held on to some good snow. So when the girls wanted to play in 4 day old snow, we did.

We had a "snow ball fight," tried to make an angel which resulted in tears since the snow wasn't working, tried to make frosty but needed Daddy, played with Peanut and then decided to swing on swings in the snow. Since it was warmer then the last time we played in snow, Ashley actually liked it and we lasted about 15 minutes out there before our hands were freezing. We REALLY have to find good kids gloves.

Coloring

We love coloring. We seriously do it several times a day, every day.

Ashley is getting really good at coloring. She is really starting to have purpose to her coloring, meaning she just doesn't scribble all around the page. She is actually trying to color certain things like the nose, feet, snowman, etc. And she does such a wonderful job!

Anna is getting better and better each day with coloring in the lines and is as complete and thorough as ever.

Happy Birthday Mommy

Mommy wanted to do nothing for her birthday so that is exactly what we did! Pajama day, take out Chinese food and a trip to the grocery store rounded out her 32nd birthday. And she loved it!

Happy birthday mommy! We love you and can't wait to have a popcorn party with all the popcorn we got you!

Helping Daddy

Here I am helping Daddy put up the new telescope, wheel and handle cars that we got for our playset. He even pushed me for a while on the swings! We can't wait to be out here all the time playing.

Castles and Stables

We love our new blocks that Santa gave us and play with them everyday for a long, long time. We make ramps for cars, castles and towers for our princess little people and stables for baby Jesus. We love using our imagination to build, build build!

48 piece puzzles

We each got 48 piece puzzles from Santa and guess what?!?! We have completed them. We needed mommy's help just a little bit but did them both on our own. We love puzzles!

Christmas Night with Fimmen and gigi

Late Christmas afternoon we headed to Grama and Papa's house to celebrate Christmas with Gigi. We ate tons of good food (Grama made a beef tenderloin that knocked your socks off), played, helped Gigi open her gifts and even got another present from Santa... you won't believe it. DOC MCSTUFFINS and Lambie! Once again Ashley was a pro at helping others open their gifts and Doc/Lambie didn't leave our sides the entire night! We also gave Grama another Christmas gift- homemade bird feeders to hang from her trees in the shape of hearts and a Jayhawk (apparently the birds LOVE them!.

Christmas Day with Stilley/Riggs

After opening gifts at our house, we went to Grammy and Poppy's house to see Great Granddaddy and the Riggs side. Mommy had brought a cardboard color your own castle for us to work on and it was a hit! We colored it and then had so much fun being rescued from the castled all day long. We also ate yummy food, hung out, opened some gifts that Grammy had gotten all of us (Thank You), the adults played the game apples to apples and just relaxed. It was a very nice afternoon. Anna had so much fun that she couldn't last the 25 minute drive to Grama and Papa's later that afternoon.
