First Boat Ride and Happy Memorial Day

Yesterday we headed over to Grammy and Poppy's house for a nice Memorial Day picnic lunch on the boat followed by a dinner celebration for Uncle Jeff's birthday.

We loved being on the boat; an absolute beautiful day. The girls danced, hopped, relaxed, ate, played and had a ball with everyone. What a relaxing 2 hours on the boat :) A perfect way to spend the start of summer!!

DUCKS!

These two are too much these days... seriously too much!

"Don't worry, I drive with my feet all the time...."

It was good to see Leland and Eldon at dinner time :)

Neighborhood Pool Party

This past Saturday was overcast and a whooping 65 degrees outside. Oh and it was also our neighborhood pool party. Dressed in long sleeves an pants, the girls were pretty bummed aout the weather....

But it didn't stop them :)

CANNONBALL!!!!!! The first of the season!

Followed by a "oh my goodness it is cold" giggle and laugh.

"No way mama.... no way...."

"Burr. Burr. Burr." Abby said over and over again while holding her arms against her to keep her warm....

Crazy kids.... the baby pool was a little warmer so that is where the had their first official dip of the season in 65 degree weather. BURR just looking at them :)

Royals vs Cardinals

This past Sunday Rob and I were able to beat the rain (it rained on the drive out and on the drive back from the game) and see the Royals play the Cardinals.

There was a little too much red in the stadium and we lost but we had a great time just enjoying an afternoon together (without kids:)) Thanks Grammy and Poppy for watching :)

GO ROYALS!!!!

Abby and Eldon

Two naked babies... can't get much cuter than this :)

Watermelon season

And these three are loving it!!!! There mom, not so much. Watermelon has become just plain impossible to wash off their clothing if I don't wash it off immediately. Any tips?!?!?!

This years Strawberry Creations!

Well, the 18 1/2 pounds of strawberries went fast. We love our strawberries at this house :) Besides eating them raw, here are some of the things we made this year....

Sweet Strawberry Salsa with cinnamon sugar chips

chocolate dipped strawberries (we made a lot of these)

Strawberry Jam

Mini strawberry glazed pies with leftover pie crust

Strawberry, Feta, Chicken and Artichoke Spinach Salad

What do you do when you eat the first pie within 24 hours? You make another!!!!! 2 strawberry glazed pies for the season :)

And there is no picture but we finished of the strawberries by pureeing them for strawberry sauce on our pancakes. Yum yum yum!!!

And of course I couldn't have done it without my helpers :)
