Pictures of New House

Here are the pictures of our new house (well new house when our Charlotte house closes this week! Please say a prayer everything works out for us) So super excited to be moving into our house on June 6th. It is superly amazing and I am superly stoked! Still a little shocked at what we were able to find close to our price range :) LOVE it! And I have to add that Rob was the first to fall in love with it which makes it that much more awesome!

Ina  cul-de-sac a couple of blocks from the neighborhood pool. 3 car garage too! Rob has never once in his life parked in a garage. BIG milestone coming up soon folks!
This is where Rob's rocker will go and he will sit in it with a rifle when Anna or Ashley's first date comes to pick them up to take them out. He will also be there when she returns....

Backyard is a little smaller then we hoped but it is mostly flat. There is a swing set in the back yard and we get the wonderful evening shade. We will spend many hours back here! the yard is also "fenced" in by half a fence (we will finish the rest) and tons of trees planted for privacy
AMAZING entry way. At first I felt the tile was too formal, now I love it. I can just picture a bright entry rug on it! And see the chandelier? Rob is still trying to figure out how to change light bulbs in it! there are also nerf darts stuck in them

French doors to a first floor office. This will be our playroom since the basement is not finished.
the formal living area. totally clueless on what color to paint. A blue, green or gold??? hummmmmm. the curtains do not stay.
the dining room opens into the formal living area. Thinking of painting an orange color. The curtains do not stay.
hallway to kitchen. LOVE the dark hardwoods!
Our first floor bathroom. OMG I have a cool sink. And the mirror stays!
The eating area. Thinking of painting it a pottery barn blue color.

My favorite space... the kitchen opening into the eating area and hearth room. Wasn't wild at first about the black cabinets but they are growing on me. Rob loves them! Thinking of painting a yellow/gold color
AMAZING! Our hearth room! I start drooling when I look at it. Will be painted same as kitchen
Ashleys Favorite room... the walk in cabinet!
Our garage floor. Are we serious right now? I tell Rob he has to wax them every 2 months!

We have a split staircase. this is the one leading upstairs from kitchen
two linen closets and a cut out- awesome!
upstairs hallway

Master bedroom

Master bath. Are we serious right now? the glass on the shower fogs for privacy. Am I dreaming? Is this really my house?
Another fancy sink. DROOL.

Rob's future office. We don't know where mine will be yet

the office bathroom
Anna's pink room soon to be painted purple like barney!
the girls shower. WOW
Ashley's room. Color will probably be a light tealish. The closet is awesome and will be an miniature playroom.
I can't believe that this will be my house. I am still in utter shock and am ubberly excited!

Much Love,
Jenny

Trolley Run

This morning we all were up and ready to go to the Trolley Run. BUT. IT. WAS. RAINING. Not just raining but thundering and lightening. Unsure of what the weather would be like during the race we chose to go to Daddy's church in our running gear instead; we didn't want to risk lightening with strollers! Grammy and Poppy joined us for an early morning church service. After service, it wasn't raining so we all decided to start the Trolley run from Daddy's church (which is right alongside the course). Anna and Ashley jumped into the running stroller with smiles on and the rain cover on (it was sprinkling) and away we walked. We were only a mile away from the Plaza so instead of making the 4 mile walk, we did a 1 mile walk.

It was a picture perfect finish with Anna and Ashley just barely beating Daddy as we ran across the finish line!

After the walk we ate some post race food, snatched a free Papa Murphy's pizza to take home and cook for lunch and went to the kids run. Henry, Frances, Aunt Laura and Uncle Aaron met us for the kids race and we had a blast!

We got to meet a lot of chief cheerleaders AND the Chiefs horse warpaint. Anna even got a huge kiss from him on her cheek and an autograph from the cheerleader with him. Ashley even got to pet the horse too!

I can't believe he kissed me!
ON the cheek!
I just touched a horse!
We danced to rap music made especially for kids and stretched before we ran in the race. the girls learned different stretched and they pretty much tried all the ones they had us do. I was proud of them for participating in the stretching. Both girls were super cute trying to do all the stretches and they even let us help them on the hard ones where they could lose their balance.

After the official race we got our ribbons and then had our own little race. What a blast we had!

Then it started raining and we had to make the 1 mile walk back to our cars in the rain. Good thing our stroller has a rain protector! And look at these two? Could it be more sweeter with Anna's arm around Ashley? Totally made my day!

We can't wait for next years race! Can't you tell by the look on the kids faces that they can't wait either?!?!?! :)

Anna and Ashley

Carp

Today we went to feed the carp at Blue Springs Lake. They are just crazy! There are just tons!!!!! I mean LOOK at them! Crazy, cool, gross, amazing, disgusting.... we just don't know what to feel about them except we LOVE to feed them!

Ashley was way more into it this time then the first time we went last week. She would get so excited when the fish splashed water and when she saw the ducks. It was Daddy's first time and he was amazed! Anna was a pro and kept leading us to different places on the dock to feed the fish and geese.

At times these girls did get a little to close to the edge of the dock for comfort and mommy is considering putting them on leashes next time we go..... just kidding. It's just that the girls are cautiously fearless and I sometimes their fearlessness is just a little too close for comfort for mommy and daddy.

We had a blast!

Love,
Anna and Ashley
