Swim Meet 3

Last night the girls had their 3rd swim meet of the season at Mills Farm. Ashley got a personal best in the free style at 40.37 sec (even though she jumped in and swam her race against another girl during the timer "practice" beep). But no worries, they still got her time! She also got a personal best in the backstroke at 37.82 (placed 25 out of 29) and in the free relay 2:28.06. I was hoping that she would be able to try butterfly at the meet (she's been practicing it for 2 weeks now at practice and almost gets it) but she wasn't slotted to race it. She told me she was relieved because butterfly is not her favorite, it's tiring and she's slow. I told her she does better then her momma at the stroke and she smiles :) So proud of this little pup! She told me this morning that she loves swimming and meet days are her favorites!!!!!

Anna got her personal best in butterfly at 33.91 sec (and placed 5th). She also swam in the freestyle at 25 sec, back at 29.41 sec, medley relay (they were DQed) at and free relay (they placed 3rd) at 1:46.35.

No pictures are the meet; Momma wanted to sit back and enjoy the meet while Daddy volunteered as a timer during the first half.

Toddler Rail

Since the little miss slept so well on the floor while in Minnesota, we decided that as a reward for being dry 2 weeks straight overnight that we would switch her crib to the toddler rail.

Someone was overly, overly excited to be a "Beeeeg Gurl!"

Well the first night didn't go over so well. I was out running errands and Rob and her battled back and forth for an hour, her leaving her bed close to 10 times. Daddy had had enough so he put the crib side back up. And we had a very unhappy screamer.... she screamed and cried herself to sleep.

So the next day for nap she insisted on trying again.... and it was a success! And night time she promised me she would be big like sissies and not leave her bed until morning. And she nailed it!!!!!

What a big girl! It's been almost two weeks and she is officially in a big girl bed!

The first morning she arrived in my room after sleeping in the "beeeeeg gurl" bed. "I not seep mommy.... sissies seep."

So Tired!

Most of the drive home they were wide awake like above. But there were times 3 of the 5 were asleep... I have no clue how Anna and Ashley didn't sleep!!!!

Cousin Sarah's Wedding in Minnesota

After a family nap in the hotel, we got beautiful and headed to cousin Sarah's wedding.

It was a beautiful wedding.

The ceremony was outside and it was HOT. You would think Minnesota would be cooler then Kansas but on this day it rivaled Kansas. Hot, hot hot.....

During the seating of the grandparents, Todd broke a folding chair.... it was hilarious....

Abby was so hot she laid in our shade....

Lucky for us it was a super quick ceremony and we got to cool down with refreshments followed by the reception.

And Dancing!!!! We danced until we couldn't dance anymore (and the inappropriate adult music came on:)) and headed back to the hotel a little before 11. So much fun! Ashley was by far the dancing queen and Abby ruled the dance floor with her blankey! Anna and Kate were crazy dancing as well :)
