Swimming Lessons

Swimming lessons are still going great.

Today after Anna's lesson, Coach Phillip came up and talked to me.

He said he is so pleased with Anna and that she amazes him with how quickly she learns things. He told me that she has pretty much learned the proper way to do the breast stroke in less then 2 lessons. He also said that he is noticing her make her own variations to each stroke. He then went on to tell me that he constantly has to keep her challenged because not only is she doing so well for her age but she also seems to get bored with the same stuff over and over. And he does not want her to get bored since she LOVES swimming lessons so much.

It never occurred to me that Anna was "bored." She always talks about how much she loves coach phillip and swimming lessons. I think it was his way of saying that Anna is a fast learned and once she masters a concept she is ready and eager to move on to the next concept (sounds kinda like her momma and dadda to me!)

I can not believe how much she has grown in the last 2 months with her swimming skills and am so proud of her :) Love you my little fishy!

Sometimes one of the best places to read is in your....

backyard!

Just soaking up the last of these beautiful, warm days!

Garage Sales!!!

Last weekend we had a garage sale; today we conquered them!!!!!! We spent 2 hours finding our special treasures and had so much fun. Good thing we got rid of so much last week to make room for some of our new finds :) Grama joined in on some of the fun. We love garage sales!!!!!

On to the next tomorrow :)

Anna's 3rd soccer game

Anna had her 3rd soccer game against her preschool best friend Kendall. She got to place against Kendall on the same field at the same time! She had a blast. She scored a goal! She made a breakaway down the field. And was so excited when she actually stole ball from Kendall.

Anna is loving soccer and getting more aggressive by the game :) And having SO MUCH fun!

Ashley just might be more obsessed with Kendall then Anna :)

Weston, MO

Two weekend ago, after late afternoon apple picking we went down to Main St Weston for dinner and ice cream.

We had dinner at O'Malley's Irish Pub/Weston Brewing Co. Before eating dinner we went down into the 3 story below ground basement "dungeon" and listened to a live song sung by an Irish singer. The girls thought it was totally cool but we didn't want them to choke on the second hand smoke so we left. The dinner was ok- my steak was WAY over done and by the time the waitress came Rob was two bites away from being done with his meal so I ordered a bowl of the best cheddar/ale soup ever. It was amazing- especially when I dipped the girls leftover chicken tenders in it! We sampled their beer flight- the stout and homemade hard root beer needs lots of work. Not the best brewing of beer done here but we did like the ginger beer and the cream ale. After dinner the girls headed to the Irish festival stage on the ground of O'Malley's and danced like crazy!

Then after dancing on the stage we drove through old main street and stopped for an ice cream cone. Yum.

Rob and I decided we have to get back this fall for a B&;B experience! What a lovely town!

Abby thought this little act of standing up on her own and looking at daddy with the biggest smile ever was the best game EVER! She did it about 50 times :)

Sister's Walk together

They just started this a couple days ago; it literally makes my heart melt. The two big girls walk slowly and little miss happy walks between them. I wish I could savor these moments forever!

Plaza Art Fair

After parking at Daddy's work and seeing his office we decided to head down to the Plaza and go on a fountain hunt while strolling through the Plaza Art Fair. Apparently that was everyone else's plan too!

It was crowded but we still managed to have a really good time. No, we didn't see much art, but we did walk the Chinese lantern bridge, find many fountains, wished upon many a penny, eat from street vendors, did some window shopping, go into Bath and Body Works, watch all the dogs (and women with overly done breast implants), survive a 3 year old toddler meltdown and listen/dance to the many musicians at the art fair.

Ashley couldn't walk over one of these without stopping to look at all the litter bugs :)
