Best

Anna: "Mommy. Daddy fixed Tinkerbell last night."

Mommy: "Oh really. Show me."

Anna: "Yes. He did. See." (Then hugging her heart she gives a huge sigh and closes her eyes) "My Daddy is the best Daddy in the whole world!"

Ashley's prayers

Ashley has been the ringleader lately at the dinner table with reminding us to say prayers. She will look at us and reach her hands out to us, saying "Dear God?" Then once we all hold hands, she starts in on her prayer which usually REALLY QUIETLY goes something like:

"Dear God. Thank you puppy dog, paci's, Daddy, Ashley, Anna, Mommy, Peanut, puppy dog, paci's. Amen."

LOVE

Tonight when Mommy was getting in the shower I ran up to her and gave her belly the biggest hug and kiss. Then I said, "I love you." Mommy asked me what I just said and I told her, "I just love that baby in your belly so much."

Love,
Anna

PS Preschool is cancelled tomorrow because the city can't get all the streets plowed. When mommy told me this, I was very sad and told her "No preschool???? But can't daddy shovel all the roads?!?! I want to go see my best friends." I just think Daddy can do everything :)

Someday I will blog again.....

So much has happened the last week and a half and I am completely overloaded with blog posts to do. My trip to chicago, snowmagedon, playing in the snow, ashleys 2nd birthday party, kates 5th birthday party and so much more. But you see, when the girls have been napping I have been napping and when they go to sleep I have been going to sleep or laying on the couch too tired and sick with this head cold to do anything.

This past weekend I felt absolutely miserable so today I went in to my doctor. And this is what she found....
1. The head cold everyone else has
2. Sinus infection
3. Salivatory gland infection on right side
4. Beginning of an ear infection on right ear

Sweet stuff huh? Add that to being 27 weeks pregnant and couped up in the house with 2 major snowstorms in a week with my two girls and I feel just swell. Swell.

The doc prescribed some heavy duty amoxicillin, nasal spray, sudafed, acetaminophen and sour candy. Yup, sour patch kids were prescribed and I have definitely had my fill today. Apparently it helps with he salivatory infection and believe it or not they have provided minor relief from the intense pain on the right side of my throat.

Okay, enough complaining. Back to the couch. Hope these mess kick on soon because right now I feel just as crappy as before!

Much love,
Jenny

My Wish Come True

This past Saturday when Mommy was out of town, Daddy surprised us with a very special treat.

See, earlier that week Anna had told mommy and daddy that her wish come true would be to meet the real Belle. Well little did she know that some of the princesses were visiting the Kansas City Zoo. Even though it was below freezing outside, Daddy bundled us up in layers, put on our princess dresses (Anna was Belle and Ashley was Snow White) and headed to what us girls thought was just a typical visit to the zoo. Anna did ask why we were wearing costumes but Daddy just said all the other kids were wearing them too.

And when we got there we couldn't believe their eyes!!!! Daddy had forgotten his camera and had to run back at towards the end to get some good pictures of us with Belle and Snow White. We stayed there almost 3 hours seeing the princesses, coloring, doing stickers, arts and crafts, dancing to radio disney and getting free tattoos, crowns and stickers. We had a blast. And the best thing of all.... MEETING BELLE AND SNOW WHITE! We really didn't care about the other princesses, we were Team Belle and Snow White!

When we saw Belle and Snow White we went crazy. Anna gave Belle the longest hug ever (Daddy swears it was at least 15 seconds) and we couldn't stop smiling. As for hugging the princes, we told mommy we were too shy.

Thanks for making Anna's wish come true Daddy!

Love,
Anna and Ashley

PS Anna's new wish come true- meet Aurora (sleeping Beauty)

Pictures from Daddy's phone that we took at the beginning

Cinderella
Pocahontas
Flynn Ryder and Rapunzel
We also met Jasmine and Aladdin

Snowy Night Night

8:33 pm: I leave Anna's room

9:06 pm: I see a flashlight in the foyer and make it out to be Anna with her headlight on. I ask her what she is doing up and she says, "I shut my eyes and when I opened them it was light out and so I got dressed." Sure enough she did not have her pajamas on anymore and is in her day clothes. She literally thought it was morning time.

We brought her back upstairs and explained what the light coming through her window looks like on a snowy night. When we asked her if it was morning or a snowy night she confirmed snowy night, changed into pajamas, went potty and after we sang her a song (she requested Barney) she went back to sleep. WOW!

Apparently there must be something in the snow she ate today because that was so strange. Life really must be confusing for those who are just trying to figure it all out :)

2 years old!

Happy 2 years old Baby Girl!

*Sleeping: I am still sleeping very well. I will sometimes wake up between 4:30 and 5:30 but mommy gets me back to sleep pretty easily by shushing me and patting my back while I am in the crib. I usually sleep from 8 to 6:30/7.
*Napping: I am a very good napper. I read two books with mommy, I have my milk baba and fall sleep quickly on mommy. I usually sleep 2 hours or more.
*I eat like a typical toddler- very minimal. I like ham, ham sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly, fruit, yogurt, avocado, edamame, marinated artichokes, cereal, eggs and tofu (sometimes). Cheese is by FAR my favorite food and I drink minimal liquids (milk and water). I have recently stopped liking mac and cheese.
*I am a pretty independent and stubborn little girl. I like to do almost everything on my own including peeling bananas, putting my shoes on, brushing my teeth, filling my own water, opening my own string cheese and other packages to food and I even read to myself.
*Don't help me unless I say help. I will explode if you help me when I don't need it.
*I get mixed up sometimes when identifying the colors red and green.
*I can and love to sing the ABC's. I am singing about 80% on my own and all of it with somebody else.
*I do a really good job when I am dropped off at the church nursery (I love the women there) but when coach wants to help me in gymnastics I go crazy and only want mommy.
*I am extremely animated with dancing and singing. I love to dance and sing, especially the Snow White and Beauty and the Beast music. I love yelling Heigh Ho with the dwarfs, singing I"m wishing with Snow White and singing with Snow White's Prince and Gaston. I always request "Snow White First" when we put on music anywhere.
*I love puzzles, books, fairy toys, blocks, coloring, cooking with Anna and Mommy, eating breakfast with Daddy and having "Daddy's cereal," giving check ups, playing with my babies, my bear, lambie and pacis.... tons of pacis!!!
*When mommy wants me to give her a paci, I have to give each of them a kiss and then a huge hug. I love my paci's.
*Mommy says I am exhibiting the typical 2 year old behavior and fits and some common words are "Me, Mine and My turn!"
*My temperment is: Feisty, Fiery, Determined, Spunky, Independent, Strong Willed, Happy Go Lucky, Goofy, little mommy's girl
*I am huge with taking turns. I will remind everyone and anyone "take turns, share, my turn and Anna's turn."
* I love cuddling after naps and in the morning. Sometimes I get so comfortable that I fall back asleep in mommy's arms while cuddling.
*I am still a tattle tale on Anna but am usually right.
*I have a good sense of humor; I switch words of songs and laughs after I do it. For example I say for Gaston, "Watch I"m going to me Paci my Wife!!!!" I say Paci instead of Belle. I am so funny.
*I will sit all by myself and read aloud stories by looking at the pictures and telling what happens. For example when reading Snow White I will start from the beginning and say, "I'm wishing! I"M wishing! I'm hoping! Prince comes. Run away Snow White. Shy. Eek. Queen. Apple. Snow White. Heigh Ho. Dopey. Witch. Apple. Bite. Eek. Snow White. Prince. Castle.
*Favorite books are anything princess, tinkerbell, fox in socks, Minnie Mouse books and my night night books.

Love,
Ashley

Valentine's Day

Today was a great and busy Valentine's day! We woke up and read books for an hour, got to watch Sophia the First on the Ipad while Mommy took a shower, we ate a quick breakfast, headed to a play date at Anna's friend Hank's house where we played and had doughnuts and yogurt, met Daddy for lunch at his work (we ate yummy Minsky's pizza which Anna ate 2 pieces of cheese pizza!) and then delivered a Valentine to Kate at Grama's. We both were EXHAUSTED and took good naps which meant we got to stay up late!!!!! Which was perfect because Mommy and Daddy surprised us with awesome, I mean awesome, Valentine gifts that we didn't want to stop playing with. We didn't know that we get presents on this day :) Anna got the Beast/prince Barbie doll, a princess book and Beauty and the Beast figurines. Over and over Anna kept saying quietly to herself, "I can't believe this. I can't believe this. I can't believe this." Ashley got the snow white prince barbie doll, a tinker bell book and Snow White figurines. All night we played with our new toys and even built a new castle for them out of blocks. Then when it was time to go to bed we did baba cuddles in mommy and daddy's bed with both of them and read 2 books. It was awesome!

We love Valentine's Day!

Love,
Anna and Ashley

Look at these faces below; excited much?!?!?!

Opening Valentine's we got in the mail (thanks GiGi and Grama!)

Chapped Face

Poor face. In this picture Vaseline is coating her cheeks, lips and chin. The poor thing's skin just gets so irritated during the dry winter months. And this week it's her face. It also doesn't help that she is constantly sticking out her tongue and licking her face/lips constantly to make the irritation feel better. We need warmed weather to get her soon so we don't have a red little face any more!

Much Love,
Jenny

Valentine's Dinner

Dinner (take our thai food)
 Dessert
I will admit I did not go over the top in anyway this Valentine's day for dinner. But it was AMAZING! And the best part... no dishes to wash and we didn't even have to leave the house :)

Much Love,
Jenny

PS It was all kid approved too! Especially the Little Debbie hearts!

Day Out Valentine's Party

Anna had her school Valentine's party yesterday and she had a blast! She came home grinning and so excited to open all her valentine's from her "very best friends." She had made her Valentine's bag at school and could not wait to see what was inside it when we walked in the door!

Ashley was pretty excited to help!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Homemade Valentines

This year Anna REALLY wanted to hand out Belle valentine's at her preschool party. Not all the princesses, not Belle with another princess, not Tinker BELL but BELLE. JUST Belle.

So thanks to the good old internet we found these and printed them out on card stock. Anna through some stickers on it and taped a lollipop and they looked pretty good to me; probably what we will do every year! She was happy as a duck to give out her Belle Valentine's but was really worried that the boys wouldn't know who Belle was; especially her friend Hank. She asked to make the boys separate Valentine's with Jake and the Neverland Pirates or Mickey Mouse, but we convinced her that they will like Belle. And then Daddy said, "I don't know, Hank does have two brothers and no sisters....." So we made a separate card for Hank that we gave to him today at a playdate.

Hank's Valentine (he also made her a sweet little Valentine)
Hank's Special Valentine to Anna that he gave to her today at play group

And my favorite homemade Valentine this year was for Daddy and Me from Bananapants....

Much Love,
Jenny

Happy Valentine's Day

Family Pictures From Early November

This is what sometimes happens when you choose a photographer from living social.... it takes 3 months to get the pics!!!!!

We have had such good luck with living social and their photographers that it shocked me to have such bad service after the photo shoot. I was hoping to get my pictures to use as our Christmas card, or new years card but settled for our Valentine's card. Which turned out pretty cute if you ask me :)

Besides the fact that it took her forever to get the pictures to us, we were really pleased with how they turned out. Enjoy!
