Birthday Morning

Last Friday Ashley woke up to balloons in her room. And in our house this means one thing.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Ashley was so excited and kept saying "appy birday Ashley?" over and over again and "Ashley two?" She loved the balloons and I think she thought she was pretty darn special! And even more special that Daddy had taken the day off of work to celebrate Ashley.

Ashley didn't get much alone time in her crib with the balloons because big sister was waiting very patiently to jump in there with her! Anna actually did such a good job handling Ashley's birthday... I have a feeling that Anna is smart enough to know that everything that Ashley got to do that day, she got to do too and every gift that Ashley opened that someday Anna would be able to play with it too.

After the balloons we headed down to our traditional birthday pancake breakfast complete with candles! Grama, Kate and Aunt Anne joined us. Ashley sang along with us as we sang happy birthday to her and she loved every bit of it!

After breakfast we packed up the car and headed to jumpin jacks (an indoor bounce house) and the girls played there for a whole 2 hours!! Anna LOVED it; Ashley liked it. Ashley is huge into taking turns and if someone "cuts" she has major breakdowns. Well in those places most kids do cut. So we had some crying fits. Besides those, she loved the bouncing! (not the best pics, taken from my phone, but at least we have some pics!) They both LOVED the huge slides and the huge climbing wall/bounce house that was set aside for the big kids.

I couldn't believe our little Ashley's legs could reach the next block to climb up. But she climbed all the way up all by herself 4 times!!!!

Then we stopped for a quick and cold picnic lunch heading out of KC and headed to Branson for a weekend get away.  Ashley didn't mind the drive that much (except for the end where we think the ozark mountains made her a little car sick), she got to open presents along the way :)

Happy Birthday Morning my 2 year old. 2! Crazy, crazy, crazy!

Much Love,
Jenny
