I Love Brother!

Love,
Anna

Santa was VERY good to me too!

Here are pictures of things VERY similar to what Santa and all my family members got me for Christmas! We have to make room in the play room for all these goodies! I can't wait until I can play with them all :) Thanks to everyone!

Anna

I was a good girl this year!

All my friends always ask me what I got for Christmas. To make things easier, here are pictures of VERY similar items to what Santa and others brought me! Thanks to everyone!

Happy Hour

So... I found out what a happy hour is.... It's a place where people go to have fun and eat lots of food and drink fancy drinks.

For mommy's birthday we went to Brio on the Plaza and had so much fun! Grama, Papa, Grammy, Aunt Anne, Uncle Todd, Kate, Uncle Aaron, Aunt Laura, Henry, Aunt Megan, Uncle Jeff and Cousin Christopher were all there too.

I was such a good girl and everyone got to hug and kiss on me. They ordered and ate TONS of food and I got to drink a bottle there! Daddy changed my diaper in a corner in PUBLIC- it was my first time doing a public diaper change- and Daddy did a good job of keeping me hidden so that I wouldn't get embarrassed. Thanks Daddy!

It was so much fun that I ended up falling asleep on mommy's knee as she was playing this banana word game. It took her a while to notice that I was asleep and I slept for almost 30 minutes.... I was pooped!!

Enjoy pictures of my first happy hour and of the photo shoot that daddy, mommy and I had when we got home.

Henry helped mom open all her presents. I can't wait until I am big enough to help!

It's MY birthday!

Everyone who knows me knows just how much I LOVE my birthday. How this day, December 30th, has the capability to drag on for days, even weeks......

This birthday is hitting me pretty hard because, as many people have pointed out, it is my last year in my twenties..... and I LOVED my twenties. The dreaded 30th birthday is 365 days away.... Colleen that makes it 1096 days for you (I think there is a leap day in there)!!! So this year, I have every intention of dragging it out!

My cousin Colleen and I savor every minute of this sweet day (for those of you who don't know, we were born on the same day two years apart) and have both made it into a birth-week instead of a birthday!

We start with our Birthday EVE celebration. This year mine was the traditional family happy hour on the plaza. 8 years and running, we have made a birthday tradition of picking a restaurant on the Plaza and attending happy hour. Since this year we had 2 toddlers and a baby, we decided to go back to Brio (we had celebrated there last year) because of their cozy couches and roomy upstairs.... oh and their GREAT happy hour menu! One martini down and I was feeling it.... water please!

Anna gave me the greatest birthday gift so far- a great 3 hours at BRIO out of the house (she even fell asleep on my knee even with all the noise around her.) I was so happy because so many of Rob and my family members were able to attend; My mom and dad, Anne, Todd, Kate, Mary, Aaron, Laura (she even made it there exhausted after working 105 hours in 7 days!!!!), Henry, Jeff, Megan and Christopher. Thank you EVERYONE for celebrating with me :) And for those who stayed the whole time who's the queen of bananarama?????? Winning 4 out of 6 games isn't bad, ey? Thanks Laura- that is now my new favorite game! To end my Birthday Eve, Rob, Anna and I came home and had a mini photo shoot of Anna with my new camera accessory flash speedlight that I got for Christmas and played Yahtzee. I got a Yahtzee in the last game (I finally beat Rob!!!) What a great Birthday Eve!

As for the rest of my celebration??? Tomorrow (the real deal) I am taking Peanut to get his nails clipped, running much needed errands, maybe eating out at Chipolte, going to see Avatar with Rob, and eating a surprise soup that Rob is making me! I can't wait! Then on New Years Eve, Kelly, Stephanie and I are getting together for a birthday lunch; followed by New Years Eve (or a big party for my birth) at my sisters. I also have a dinner planned sometime the next week with others as well. Oh how fun! My VERY SPECIAL day!

Much Love and thanks for the birthday wishes,
Jenny

BRIO

I went out to dinner to a nice grown up place for the first time ever last night! Mommy, Daddy and I met two of Daddy's friends, Saundra and Chris, out at Brio on the Plaza. When we first got there I was asleep but when I woke up I loved EVERY minute of it! It was a little noisy but I loved sitting in mommy's and daddy's lap looking at everything around me. The food looked super good and since I was such a good girl, mommy said we could come back soon- actually we could come back the next day for her birthday happy hour! I don't really know what a happy hour is, but will find out soon enough! I am really glad that mommy and daddy thought that I wa a good girl; maybe this means they will take me out more!!!

Fun in the Snow... Blizzard 2009!

We couldn't resist the temptation... the temptation to play in freshly laid snow the day after Christmas (and the blizzard of 2009) and to see baby Tom play in the snow for the first time ever. We were pumped!!!

After waking at my parents house with absolutely no clothes suitable for snow, we ventured into the guest room closet full of an amazing selection of early 1990 winter snow garb. To no one's surprise (since my parents keep everything!), we were all set!

With Rob in woman's snow pants, Tom in old hunting garb, Carolyn in the 1980's snow jumpsuit that I bought on super clearance in college (see Theurer I DID get more use out of it!) and me in size 10 men's work boots sporting an early 1990's GIANTS starter jacket WAY to big for me that the NFL football coaches used to wear on the sidelines, we headed out to play. After 15 minutes of Rob making a snow angel, having a mini "snow fight" with baby Tom and sledding down the tiny bump in my parents front yard 10 or so times we called it a morning! Snotty noses aside, we had a GREAT time!!
