Happy National Cookie Baking Day

We officially joined in the celebration of National Bake a Cookie day. Our cookies of choice- classic nestle toll house chocolate chip cookies and Daddy's favorite, peanut butter kiss cookies. We had made homemade toffee yesterday and these three things wil be quite yummy this weekend with the Fimmen cousins :)

The girls did their usual help with the ingredients on the chocolate chippers but their involvement in the peanut butter kiss cookies made them "the most fun cookie EVER" to make :) They measured and mixed the ingredients, turned on/off the mixer, rolled them into balls and after the cooked put the hershey kisses in the cookie. And they did this stuff all on their own. Abby even helped and baked for the first time; dumping in the brown sugar and chocolate chip. I can't believe just how big they are getting....

I have got to admit it was hard to shift the cookie making responsibility onto them but it was worth it. They did great :) Now it's time to eat the yummy cookies :)

Passing the tradition of trying cookie dough off mommy's fingers like I did with my mom :)
They were quite proud of their little peanut butter balls
