Duck Races

This afternoon we scored some serious rubber duckies (7 total... one being the biggest rubber ducky I have ever seen) at a garage sale for 75 cent. We had had an idea the day before to have duck races in the stream down the road at a park and were thrilled to find the ducks.

So tonight we set out to have our first family duck race. Anna picked the huge duck, mommy picked the squeaky duck, Ashley picked the lightest duck and Daddy picked the most practical looking one.

After saving the ducks several times from being stuck (yes the stream's water level was pretty low) Ashley's duck came out the winner, followed closely by Daddy's. Anna and mommy's got lost in the dust because they kept getting stuck. But win or lose, we all had a great time cheering on the ducks and laughing at them getting stuck one too many times!

On your mark. Get Set.
GO! Look how excited Anna is! She really never stopped clapping.
Go duckies go! Anna was having a blast running alongside them and then back to the ones that were stuck and then back to the swimming ones.
Yup, she walked into the stream a couple of time to help her ducky go.
Cheering on all the duckies is half the fun!
Ashley's the winner!
 Much Love,
Jenny
