Colorado Hike: Rainbow Lake

While in Colorado, the morning before we went to the ER we went down in elevation to Frisco to see if it would help Abby with her sickness. 1,500 feet lower, for the most part it did. While there she started eating better and even started to keep her food down.

While we were in Frisco we decided to try a hike. Anna and Ashley had a blast. Abby enjoyed snuggling with mommy in the baby bjorn :) It was Abby's first hike and even though she won't remember it, I think she enjoyed even not feeling well.

We were happy we went on this hike. The kids had a blast picking all the dandelions before we began the hike. And while on the hike, Anna and Ashley both loved taking the lead and picking out hiking sticks. They also both loved riding on Daddy's bike and seeing all the dogs on the trail. When we got to the end point, we reached Rainbow Lake. And this lake should have been called puppy dog lake; there were dogs everywhere! The girls were in heaven but 5 minutes into throwing tennis balls to dogs, Anna falls over a rock and is all tears. Unable to calm her down, Poppy takes her back down the trail. When we catch up with them 30 minutes of so later, she has gotten better but wanted a band aid for the cut on her hand.

I did not take any pictures; I was still too worried about Abby. But Poppy pulled through and got some great ones of the kids and family during the hike. Thanks Poppy!

Much Love,
Jenny

PS When we cleaned her cut on her hand during bath time she was hysterical. Feeling bad for her, Ashley and Leland joined in on the crying and the bath turned out to be a screaming fest. Us adults couldn't help but laugh since they were being so ridiculous and were so tired. Luckily the cut has healed well and we have no more band aids on it :)
