Block Party

Last night we had a block party. It was beautiful out and it was nice getting to meet with all our neighbors. We have a wide assortment of ages and I was shocked to see 4 kids close to Anna's age and 2 close to Ashley's; I just wish these people would be outside more so we could play during the day. The neighbors had rented a bounce house and all Anna wanted to do was hop!!!! She was a tough cookie jumping in there and even held her own when jumping with some older boys (just had a minor ouchie). We each brought a side dish and the food was great. There was an activity where you guess how many pieces of candy are in the jar and Rob totally won. Our neighbor said it was because he's a math guy :) The jar had 211 pieces of good candy (I'm talking miniature hershey and mars of all sorts!) and he guessed 208. Looks like we don't have to buy any Halloween candy; that is if I can keep the jar out of my sight!!!

Ashley even did some hopping!

And friom the pics it looks like Anna had a miserable time, right?!?!?! I was so proud of her. It took about 30 or so minutes for her to warm up to the party and when she did she was walking around by herself, walking up to kids by herself and even trying to talk with some. She would hold hands with this 6 year old while jumping in the bounce house and really did well around the other kids. This one sure likes fun!

Much Love,
Jenny
