Royals Game!

We sure soaked up the 90 degree heat today!!!!!!

Yup, today we braved it and took our little family to the Royals afternoon game to Family Fun Fest (which is what every Sunday is called). We got there early for the girls to have some fun in the kids section but all that was accomplished during this time was a MASSIVE tantrum from a certain 3.25 year old that captured the attention of the entire Royals stadium. And to think it all revolved around the fact that someone else rode on the horse with flowers that she wanted on the carousel. Life SUCKS I tell ya :)

After we recovered from that, the girls played a bit longer, ate some snacks, bought $8 band aids for new boo boos on their feet caused by shoes mommy told them not to wear and then continued to get blisters in the shoes mommy told them NOT to wear as we walked halfway around the stadium to get up, up, up to our seats.

It might sounds like we were having a miserable time (we really were having fun) but it was GREAT once we got to our seats. Bribing our kids with massive quantities of ballpark food helped and mommy and daddy got to enjoy around 6 innings of baseball. In the shade. No fighting. No one sitting TOO close to us so the girls didn't have to stay in their seats the entire time. Even though Anna asked Daddy over and over again is it over yet she told us that her favorite part of the game was watching the Royals play baseball. For Ashley and I it was the ice cream. And for Abby, it was Ashley's leftover hot dog :)

I can't wait for a time when just Rob and I go out to a game; it is just a little too much with the girls at their ages they are right now!

But glad we did it and we had some fun!

(Check out the girls hair cuts! I easily cut 3 inches off both their hair since they both wanted it SHORT, VERY SHORT mommy!)

Here is a picture of the beginning of the massive tantrum.......
The $8 band aid's also doubled as a toy for Abby :)

I wonder if they listen to me next time about which shoes to pick :)

Much Love,
Jenny
