All in a Day's Work

Yesterday Rob's coworker brought a pillowcase (more like a huge potato sack) of apples to give to our family. There were around 40 HUGE apples (after giving some away to his coworkers and his mom) and now there are 3. So what did we do with the 37 other apples?

Well, when the kids were off at preschool today and while Abby slept, mommy was BUSY BUSY BUSY! Since I am leaving Friday for a weekend in San Diego for a good friends wedding I had to do something with all these apples before they went bad. So, thanks to pinterest I made all new recipes!!!

Mini Apple Pies (the girls helped with the filling when they got home from preschool).

Apple Pie Bread- one with raisins and pecans, one without. A small one for Mark (who gave us the apples)

2 crock pot recipes of apple sauce- one that was cinnamon, lemon and apple; the other was maple syrup applesauce

3 cups of apple butter

Kielbasa, onion, apple and couscous for dinner

Caramel filled apple for dessert

And that all this stuff was made with the apple that were given to us.... I haven't done anything with the 8 pounds or so of honey crisp that we brought home from Minnesota except for eating them with Peanut Butter!

Much Love,
Jenny

PS It has all been tried by Rob and it all receives "Two Thumbs Up!!!"
