Taum Sauk State Park

BUGS. GNATS. BEES. FLIES. HUGE BEES. HUMID. HOT.

That was our experience at Taum Sauk State Park. We managed to attempted around 1/2 a mile of the 1 1/2 mile hike to the waterfall but had to turn around due to the bugs and one of the girls fell (I forget which one)

Two Thumbs down for the hike.

BUT...... Two Thumbs up for the Taum Sauk State Park Tower.

The girls thought it was so cool; just like Rapunzel's. Wanting to climb to the top, we gave in an all headed up the stairs. We probably climbed 5 stories and it was pretty nerve wracking since they could have easily feel through the sides but the girls rocked it. I don't think there was an inch of fear in either girl are they climb the stairs and while we were on the overlook. Even on the way down they didn't break a sweat (unlike us).

So all in all, the park got a one thumb up and one thumb down!!!!

She loves looking at her trees!!!

We did walk to the highest elevation in the state of Missouri (it wasn't very far from the parking lot). Here's proof!!!!!
The Tower, or should I say Rapunzel's Tower!

We did it! We went all the way up there!!!!!
