Daddy/Daughter Dance

The above picture tells it all...

This past Saturday Anna and Daddy went to their first Daddy/Daughter Dance. It was put on by Anna's school. Anna and I had found her dress a couple weeks earlier and she had requested diamonds in her curly hair. And I made it happen. Yes. All of her little dreams came true (and I am so glad I could make them!) After a quick primping session to get ready for the dance (we were tight on time due to her basketball game lasting so long) she was ready for a ball!

Anna and Daddy started the night at a Pad Thai restaurant where they split chicken satay and chicken pad thai by candlelight. Apparently Anna received dozens on compliments on how beautiful she looked. They had a blast.

Then they headed to SRE for the big dance. As they walked the red carpet there were paparazzi (teenage girls) snapping pictures of them and complimenting them on how great they looked. They got their picture taken, did the photo booth (picture will be added later),  checked out the goodies of popcorn and donuts (which they ate later) and then went to the gym to dance. They danced the night away and even though Anna was in awe of the older kids and wanted to watch them closely, she still danced the night away with Daddy. When I asked her if she ran around with her friends she looked at me and said, "Mommy, no. Why would I be with my friends??? Its a Daddy/Daughter dance!!!" I loved this response and hope it will always be like this :)

They closed the party down and arrived home with many smiles and laughter to share.

It really was a magical night for Anna (and one for Rob too!)

Diamonds in her hair.... nothing to it :)

Had to get a picture with her Fairy Godmother :)

At Dinner

With her neighbor friend Clare. Too cute and looking WAY TO OLD.
