First Field Trip (on Anna's birthday too!)

If having a birthday at school wasn't cool enough for Anna, Anna got to go on her first field trip on her birthday. And get this; she got to ride a bus without seat belts for the first time ever! Needless to say, Anna was so excited and I was very glad I got to be there to experience it with her.

Anna's whole grade took a morning field trip to one of the area high schools. Once there several high school students did small group "animal encounters" with the kids. They taught them about the animal, their habitat and some even had real live animals to touch and see. Anna saw and touched a real live rabbit, turtle, snake (which she held), a bearded dragon, a ferret, fish and lots of other stuffed animals. The kids had a blast!!!

Anna's school wears field trip t-shirts so Anna was a little bummed to cover up her birthday dress. But she felt much better once she put the birthday button I had found for her on. The high school students kept wishing Anna a happy birthday and Anna thought that was SO cool, SO special.
