Minnesota

This past weekend we drove up to Minnesota to relieve Rob's brother Aaron and wife Laura from their kids for most of the weekend. Laura had pretty intense surgery on a benign tumor growing off her brainstem just 2 1/2 weeks prior and we wanted to give them a weekend to themselves.

So we got to their house at 3 on Friday and took the kids for 3 hours to the hotel to swim, jump on hotel beds, eat pizza in the hotel room and watch TV. The pool was pretty cool and they did sit in the hot tub for a while but most of the night was spent hanging in the room :)

The nest day we picked the kids up and headed to bowling and arcade fun at Big thrill Factory (Henry's request). Ashley beat everyone by bowling a 99 and everyone had fun picking out the most fun games EVER! Abby even found an arcade game that had candy in it and she looks at us and says, "ahhh?!?!?" really loudly and then takes off walking so fast while signing "eat" to the machine. Amazingly enough we play and win a sucker for her. She reaches into the machine SO fast, rip the lollipop cover off it and goes to town eating the lollipop. It was seriously one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time. This child LOVES to eat!

Then after the Big Thrill Factory we headed to Burger King for lunch and spent some time playing in the play place. The kids had so much fun crawling through the tubes and chasing each other; was probably one of the favorite things they did that day.

After BK we headed downtown to the sculpture garden where we had lots of fun climbing on most of the sculptures. It was really pretty and a beautiful day to be outside :) We ran the kids tired and then brought home Somalian food (it was amazing) to Aaron and Laura to eat together.

The next morning we met up for a brunch at Good Day Cafe (another great place!) and then our family headed to Minnehaha Falls on the way out of town.

It was a great trip!

Friday night at the Sheraton!

According to Ashley, "I wish every house was like this!!!" The girls fell in LOVE with their cul-de-sac, outdoor toys and leaves that were EVERYWHERE!!

Bowling couldn't start until after the girls dance with ELSA!
