Ashley's First Dance Class

Ashley has been waiting for this day since last June; her first dance class with Ms. Marilyn!!!!

Anna has already taught Ashley a lot of what Anna has learned so Ashley is no stranger to dance. She couldn't wait to do "dig, toe, step" with her tippee tappers and the rainbow in ballet shoes.

  

  

Ashley was super excited and super lucky to be dancing in the same class as her BFF Mary Eppler! They were incredibly cute out there together; standing right next to each other, following each other around and constantly smiling at each other. They were by FAR the youngest but kept up GREAT with the older girls. Technically you have to be 3 to be in the class but Ms. Marilyn made an exception since Ashley turns 3 in February. And we were shocked to find out that we know 3 other girls in Ashley's class; 3 of Anna's classmates. Lainey, Lucy and Anna are all still 3 and are in the 3/4 class with Ashley. Anna really enjoyed watching her sister and friends dance together :)

After class Ms. Marilyn comes up to me, points at Ashley and says, "WOW! WOW! What a good little dancer and listener. She kept up wonderfully. This is a really good class (meaning no distractions like we have had in Anna's classes in the past) and what a great group!" I then told Ms. Marilyn how Anna has been preparing Ashley with how you don't talk when Ms. Marilyn talks, you stay on your spot, you listen and you do exactly what Ms. Marilyn says. Ms. Marilyn laughed and then hugged Anna!

I have a feeling I have a future of countless hours in a ballet studio calling my name...

 Big sister watching Ashley and her friends dance the day away!

Ashley was the first one to wave to everyone; even before Ms. Marilyn told them too. On the first day of dance class (Ashley has seen Anna do this 3 times now so she knew exactly what to do) Ms. Marilyn has them walk around in a train, stop in front of the window and then wave to the parents for a photo. Ashley was more then ready to show off her stuff :)
