For our end of summer road trip to Great Smokey National Park, we woke up early Saturday morning and headed out to our first stop; the Lake of the Ozarks. We stay in the Ozarks until Monday afternoon camping, shopping, swimming, hiking, hoteling and just having fun together.
Little did we know that the rain the first night in the Ozarks was an introduction to what we would see most everyday on this trip! But we still had a blast and survivied!
We were welcomed by this deer to Lake of the Ozarks State Park where we hung out most of the afternoon and camped Saturday night.

Decided to forgo the parasailing reservation and just chill for several hours at our awesome camping spot in awesome weather.
When the hour of rain came, we huddled into the tent for barbies and a game of monopoly deal.
After the rain and a BBQ dinner, we got dressed up and headed into town for a variety show at the Main Street Music Hall. It was awesome.
What a great first day!
