Children's Mercy Urgent Clinic

This past Monday, 20 minutes after getting home from the 12 hours drive from Ohio, I took Abby into the Children's Mercy Urgent Care Clinic. She had developed a bad cough while in Ohio and we had had 4 sleepless nights due to all the coughing. It had seemed to change the last night in Ohio, so when we got home we went in to get it checked out.

I had told her that morning we were going to the doctor when we got home and she couldn't wait. Literally SO excited!!!!

Once we got seen, we found that her oxygen levels were a little below 94 (they like them to be above 93) but since she is so little and I had told them about all the gasping for air and choking that was happening at night, they checked her closer. After an x-ray, they determined that it was a virus causing the coughing and to help with the breathing they gave her an inhaler and some medicine (she named it Bear Air). She was so excited to learn how to give herself (with mommy's help) Bear Air. And she couldn't wait to show her sissies and daddy that next day!

After 2 hours we finally headed home and had a good nights sleep.... it was an amazing sleep. Her cough is still around but she hasn't asked for bear air unless she chokes on her cough. So glad to have this little one sleeping and feeling better :)

She was so excited to bring her bear air and x-ray home in her new bear backpack they gave her as well.
