Puppets

Yesterday we went with Mommy, Mammy (Grammy) and Henry to the Rapunzel puppet show at Paul Mesner's Puppets. Here Anna is, super excited to go in an see Punzle (sounds like puzzle when she says Rapunzel).

Yeah... once the saw Oscar the Grouch popping up and back down inside the trash can there was NO chance of getting a picture of them looking at me :)

With her Rapunzel book in hand, and Rapunzel underwear on (yes, Anna picked those out for the show and proudly showed Mammy when she got to our house), we got their just in time to get second row seats. A preschool was also there so it was a little more noisy them Mammy remembers it being but we didn't seem to mind it one bit. We had fun sitting in the kid chairs while the adults sat in their chairs and we read the Rapunzel book (Anna was even nice enough to let some girls sitting in front of her look at the pictures too!) When Ashley would get out of Mommy's lap, Anna would be on Mommy in a split second. Mommy always had a buddy on her lap before the show started and once the show started Ashley lap hopped back and forth between Mommy and Grammy!

Ashley LOVED sitting on the kiddie chairs with her big sister and big cousin Henry!

When the show started Anna kept saying, "Where's Punzel?" And when she saw her, she got really excited. Anna enjoyed the show. Most of the time she was watching it, giving mommy funny faces that show without words that she thought something was goofy and a lot of smiles and laughter. She REALLY enjoyed the show!

As for Ashley, she did well. She was extremely squirmy and would walk around, jump from Mommy to Mammy and want Mommy to hold her standing up (who am I to think a 13 month old could sit still for longer then 2 minutes?!?!?!) Mesmerized by the puppets, she enjoyed what she could until she started getting tired around 10:45 and that is when Mommy and Ashley left to go home for a nap. Anna got to stay with Mammy and Henry to finish the show and then enjoyed lunch out at            .

What a great idea Mammy! Thanks for coming up with the idea and we can't wait to go again sometime :)
