Royals Fan Fest

Two Thursdays we went to the Preview VIP night of Royals FanFest. This was our third year going and had a good time as always. This year they were expecting a lot more people so they made it annoying in that you had to sign a waiver to participate in the activities. It wasn't the waiver part that was annoying it was the fact that you couldn't find a person carrying them around AT ALL. Highly annoyed we finally found someone and then got to enjoy it. We ate yummy food, drank beer, listened to people talk/sing/dance, played kid games and this year got our picture with the World Series Trophy. AWESOME. As we were walking off the stage Ashley reaches out to touch the trophy...... and she touched it. Security leans in towards her and with no one wanting to scare her we quickly pull her back and tell her we aren't supposed to touch it. On the verge of a major meltdown and crying spell, I tl her how lucky she is and that I bet she's the only one to touch it tonight. And then I tell her why they don't want us to. All frown face and teary eyed, I asked her how it felt to touch it and she says with a huge smile, "Happy." Luckily we bypassed a major cryfest :) And I think Daddy was jealous of her for getting to touch the trophy :)

Ashley LOVES Hoz!

This makes me laugh....
