Canada Day 6- Toronto

On our only full day spent in Toronto, hit the streets early! Abby found that she didn't like Canadian yogurt (not much different then American yogurt BTW).

Hopped on the subway for Abby's first EVER subway ride!!!!

We took the subway to the River Walk area where we met daddy's friends, The Small's, and boarded a ferry to go to the Toronto Islands.

The view of the skyline from the ferry was AWESOME and totally worth the excursion.

And it was so nice being super close to the city in a park like setting. I can totally see why people want to live on this island and work in the city!!

We touched Lake Ontario for the first time...

Collected and threw rocks....

And then rented a bicycle built for 8 to explore the island.

Then we came across a nude beach and decided to check it out. Ever since going to Aruba and finding out that nude beaches exist, the girls had been playing nude beach with their barbies and decided they wanted their wedding to be on a nude beach. Well I am pretty sure our experience on the nude beach depleted that dream!!!!

Don't mind us. Family of 5 in clothes just watching naked people....

They thought it was pretty hilarious. And apparently they thought one man had 2 penises (long story....)

Then it was lunch on the island

Followed by a leisure stroll back to the ferry.

On the ferry ride back Abby took off her shoe to find this......

I still can't believe she never complained about it and just put a band aid on and kept walking. What a trooper- walking 20,000 plus steps 5 days in a row!!!!

Then once back in Toronto, we explored the river area on foot.

Got popsicles...

And came across a free Ballet in the park lesson put on by the Canadian Ballet.

Then it was time to head home for some Thai food delivery and TV in bed!
