Spring Break- Florida Keyes Day 2

After some good morning cuddles, we headed into Key West for a full day of fun. It took 1 1/2 hours to drive there and the drive from island to island on the highway was beautiful.

Once in Key West, we parked and loaded onto the conch train tour. It was an hour and a half scenic and historic tour of the island.

After the tour we headed to the Florida Keyes Eco Discovery Center which was fun for the kids. Abby slept the entire time.

Our afternoon was spent at the most beautiful beach we saw during out entire time in Florida. It was the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park. If I could redo Key West I would spend the ENTIRE time here. We had lunch and enjoyed the afternoon on the beach. Unfortunately we left our bathing suits in the car (we weren't expecting to find such a beautiful beach with warm water) but that didn't stop Ashley (followed by the other two) from swimming in their clothes!

After the beach we found a good little Cuban joint and enjoyed some Cuban food- delish! We even became friends with the resident chicken!

While walking to MAllory Sqaure to see the sunset I took them to my families favorite place in Key West, Hogs Breathe Saloon. We didn't stay long but had some fun with the photo props below!

Then we ended the night watching the sunset with 3,000 of our closest friends at Mallory Square. It was insane but beautiful. We even got to watch a fire eater!
