WOW. That man does nice work!

This week we had our box lighting replaced with mini pendant lighting in our kitchen. It was something that Rob has been wanting to do since before we moved in and honestly I didn't mind it that much. Yes, I knew that it was outdated and that pendant lighting would be so much nicer, but it was livable.

But we reached where it was on our to do list concerning the house and bit the bullet. And are SO GLAD we did it! We were out of our kitchen for two lunches and a dinner and the entire job was completed in less then 2 days. They literally covered everything except the ceiling with paper or plastic and took down the huge box light, patched the holes, drilled new holes for the pendants, re-popcorned the ceiling and spray painted the entire ceiling. They did a very good job. When Anna walked into the kitchen after the job was complete, she looked at me seriously and said, "Wow mommy. That man sure does nice work!" We can still tell where the old box light was (because we look hard) but the normal person won't be able to tell at all.

We are loving the new lighting it brings to the kitchen (no more fluorescent). Here is the before and after shot!

And here are the current decorating additions I have done to the kitchen; our family picture put on canvas, the huge metal boxed S and the wall collage going up the stairs.

And some other angles of the pendant lights!

Now if only it could look this clean everyday!

Much Love,
Jenny

  1. Love the chevron/heart pallet. Where did you get the pallet? I have a feeling you painted it ... you crafty girl!
