Philadelphia

This past weekend I met Rob out in Philadelphia after his week long conference. I got in at noon on Friday and we flew out Sunday evening. Neither of us had ever been to the city before and were looking forward to a relaxed (at 29 weeks pregnant I can only take so much sightseeing!) weekend. We hit up all the historic sites (listed below in the pictures) in Old City and it was pretty cool. When the girls are older and we take a trip to Washington DC I will definitely include 2 days in Philly beforehand. The culture of our early history as a nation is so rich there. We ate some amazing meals (everything was delicious) at Reading Terminal Market (Tony Dinics, Dutch Kitchen, Amish bread Co, a cheese shop and Hershel's), had a great dinner of cuban tapas at Cuba Libre, an amazing brownie Sunday at South Street Diner, a wonderful omelet at Mrs. K's Koffee House and a perfect last meal at an Italian place right by Independence Hall. I really, really loved the food and all the Amish treats we were able to buy (they really know how to make their fly pies, chocolate, etc). We spent the late afternoons in the hotel napping (yes I needed one everyday and we rested on the steps by the Delaware River on Sunday when we didn't have a hotel room) and even watched MU and KU both lose from our hotel bed. It was a nice get away to a pretty cool city but we really LOVED seeing our girls when we got back.

My favorite places to eat... Reading Terminal Market. Crazy busy but so much good food and fun!
 Christ Church
This is what our hotel room looked like when we arrived. Needless to say the moment we walked in we walked right back out. No babies on this trip!!!!
And we got a couple pics of us!

Much Love,
Jenny
