Rock Chalk

"Oh, come on babe, not today!"

"Not what?"

"She can wear that 352 days out of the year but not today."

Then he starts to cry......

She responds, "Ok- she'll wear it when they play each other on a tournament day!"

His crying does not stop.....

This is how my morning started when I was trying to get Anna dressed for the day. Does he not realize that on this day it is especially important to wear KU stuff (both this day and when they play the purple team.) Does he not realize that I have spent 1000's of hours and money at BOTH undergrad and grad at KU? Does he not realize I have spent more time with the Crimson and Blue then with him? Does he not realize he has married a Jayhawk? For all I care, he can dress her in Truman State and Vanderbilt stuff any day of the year!!!!!

So, to make ammends, I pull out red sweatpants and a blue shirt (something I would NEVER dress Anna in because it looks hideous together) and he laughs and says OK.

Oh the border wars!!! We never really argued about them until it came to dressing our daughter. She is going to grow up to be one VERY confused little girl but her heart will always be beating Rock Chalk!!!!

Much Love and Rock Chalk,
Jenny

  1. I think the little MU outfit we gave her would be perfect this afternoon. How about it, hmmmmmmmm?

  2. Bring the Jayhawk outfit over to the house this afternoon. We can change Anna's clothes just in time for kickoff.

Grandpa and Anna will root for the Jayhawks. It is very important to get Anna off on the right track.

    Rock Chalk, Jayhawk, KU.

    Love you,

    Grandpa Fimmen
