The day before my birthday was spent shopping with my girls. We started at 9 am and went the entire day. Grama joined inon the fun at 10:30 followed by the Horton's at noon. A nice walk around town center and lunch at Panera followed by a drive down to the Plaza. We had intended to shop at the Plaza for a good 2 hours or so before meeting others for our happy hour, but due to a shooting at the Plaza Library a lot of stores were on lockdown and we were pretty unsure whether or not we should be out and about. So we hung out in Barnes and Nobles quite a long time. And the girls didn't seem to mind one bit; they love their books!
At 4:00 we met PApa, Uncle Todd, Daddy, Grammy and Poppy for happy hour drinks and food at a Mexican place on the Plaza that was delish! Excellent food and they make one mean taxi cab margarita! After hanging out at happy hour we did the traditional nightly stroll around to look at the lights (and made a stop at the candy shop!)
I just love my birthday!
