Cancun

A week and a half ago, Rob and I were in Cancun to see one of his good friends, Travis, get married. We left early Thursday morning and got back late Monday night. And it was glorious.

Glorious in the fact that we did not plan a thing (outside of hotel to airport transportation) and had a relaxing and good time. Spent hours reading by the beach (I read 4 books total people... 4 books), Rob played volleyball twice in the pool, walked down the beach strip every morning, caught up with some friends, took a nap, watched the sunrise on our last day, took a nap during an afternoon storm, jumped in the ocean after midnight to celebrate the Royals win, watched the Royals in the hotel lobby and eat, drink, eat, drink and eat some more. It was our first experience at an all inclusive resort and we liked it. The food was decent (good tacos and egg omelets) and the drinks we good (I tried frozen drinks in all the colors of the rainbow).

The wedding was Saturday afternoon. Travis and Rucia looked super happy and the ceremony was lovely. It was in a catholic chapel overlooking the beach and wow was the view of the beach pretty. The reception following the wedding consisted of a cocktail hour on top of the resort and an indoor dinner/dance party followed by hanging out on the beach. We were very happy to be celebrating them with around 100 total guests- HUGE destination wedding turn out. Most were smart like us and left the kids at home :) (Thanks mom!)

We were overly impressed by Cancun. We never stepped off our resort so I would be interested to see what I would say of the city had I ventured into it. But as far as I am concerned I'd go back tomorrow with the kids. So so so so pretty :)

So this happened daily....

It really was bliss :)

On the plane ready to get there :)

We were greeted at hotel check in with champagne :)
