Iguana Conservancy

After the market we headed to the San Ignacio Hotel to go to the Iguana Conservancy Project. It is an educational site where people are educated on the green iguana.

We got there a little early so we relaxed in the beautiful lobby/patio of the hotel until the tour started. The girls loved playing with their new worry dolls.

Then we headed down to see the iguanas. After learning a little about the iguanas, we got into the cages with them. And there were tons... probably 30. We got to pet, hold and even feed leaves to the iguanas. The girls were timid at first but then got used to them. Anna was the only one who held one by herself, Ashley did pet them and Abby wanted nothing to do with them until she got leaves to feed them. Anna also didn't freak out when the guide set a baby one on her head!!!!

Glad we went to see the iguanas, even if Poppy did get a bad cut from one of them.  :(

The "Iguana" Man

She sat a safe distance away.....

The iguanas sure got close when we had leaves! Ashley had a minor freak out as they all rushed to eat her leaves when everyone else was out of leaves.
