Brownie Cabin Campout

The Friday of Mother's Day Weekend was the 2nd Grade Brownie Cabin Campout. Two of the other mom's planned it and I was there as the troop leader (with no responsibilities except to have fun).

The cabin at Ironhouse was adorable and the girls loved it...

Our first activity was to sign each other's camp out doo-rags.

Secondly we reviewed the responsibilities of being a responsible camper and hiker.

Just like momma- clicking away with her camera!

Then we went on a hike, stopping at the nature center on the way.

While hiking, singing and taking pictures along the way a huge snake jumped out onto our path and I nearly stepped on it! It was definitely a highlight for many of the girls first cabin camping and hiking experience. I nearly had a heart attack :)

These Brownie Mommas are the best!

After the hike it was camp fire cookout time. Hotdogs and s'more's. YUM!!!

Then it was game time.

And finally lights out. Took them a while to fall asleep but once they did it was smooth sailing (except for the Brownie who missed mom and shared my twin bed with me!)

Look forward to doing this again- it really was a good time!
