Abby's Preschool Graduation Ceremony

To celebrate Abby's completion of preschool, Hilltop had a short ceremony. They were going to sing 3 songs, get certificates and then end the night with popsicles outside.

All week Abby was so excited for the ceremony. She kept telling me that she knew all the words to her song and that she is going to sing really loud for everyone who was coming to see her. She couldn't wait for us all to come to Hilltop. She even posed for pictures!

And then it happened....

She wouldn't walk through the door. And when she did she started screaming and bawling (not lying... she was THAT kid). A teachers helped her walk to her seat but a couple feet away from her seat (which just happened to be directly in front of me), she throws her body on the ground crying hysterically. At this point I stopped taking video and pictures :)

They eventually got her to semi calm down and she came and stood by my side for the first 2 songs.

I convinced her to go to her seat and sing the last song.

That lasted 4 seconds...

And she was back to my side again.

After the singing was done we told her that in order to get her certificate that she had to sit with her class. Look at her reactions to this...

She was pretty darn proud of her certificate!!!

Then we visited with all her teachers and had popsicles outside. It was a whirlwind of a night for us all but we are so super proud of how far this little one has come and owe a lot of it to this school.

She even showed us all her classroom
