Floating and Swimming the Mopan River

After Rob almost fainted from heat stroke in the chocolate making place, our family of 5 decided to float a small section of the Mopan River.  The Parrot Nest is on the Mopan River which makes it easy to access.

Anticipating that it would be too rough for the kids, we were pleasantly surprised to have a very relaxed 15 minute float. We passed locals swimming, doing laundry, horses drinking and kids jumping in the water after school.

After we turned the bend and arrived at the Parrot Nest to find the perfect little place for some river/water play.

After a good hour of play, we washed up for the day and had happy hour on the porch of the Parrot nest, fed the girls early (Theo the owner was very flexible with helping us feed the girls early), got the girls to sleep early and then enjoyed an adult only dinner.

It was a great day!
