The kids had a blast. The adults had a blast. The beach was a blast. Our place was a blast.
I ate too much. We played too much. We laughed too much. And we smiled WAY too much :)
My parents had a rented a house (an awesome house) super close to the beach. We would hit the beach every morning for 3-5 hours, head in for a late lunch, put the kids down for a nap, eat dinner and chill. The house was on a pond and Papa was in his glory teaching the kids how to fish for fish and turtles off the porch. The porch had a "wading pool" that was perfect for the kids to swim in while waiting on the adults to head to the beach, after dinner, and any other time we were just hanging at the house.
The kids LOVED the beach. It was a rare site to see the oldest 4 out of the water and Ashley and Matt were in their glory with all the sand :) Abby enjoyed the inflatable pool we brought for her and even enjoyed many naps on the beach.
Besides the beach, we went on a "booze cruise" dolphin cruise. Papa and Rob went snorkeling. Little Tom, Carolyn and Todd golfed. And when the beach was too rough we headed into a family fun park called the Track where Papa was in his glory winning over 4500 tickets for the kids :) Oh and during nap time the moms would head to the outlet mall where we found amazing deals!!!! AMAZING deals! We were never at a lost with things to do :)
We could have easily stayed another week it was so wonderful. We can not wait to do this again and possibly make it a Fimmen Family tradition!
