Door County Wisconsin- Day 4 (Tuesday)

We started the morning off at the Jacksonport Farmers Market. It is there that we found more cheese (Renards 2 year aged white cheddar- AMAZING), a loaf of zuccini bread, 4 mini cheese cakes and some flavored honey straws for the girls that they didn't like. I love a small farmers market :) Oh and I forgot about the cherry pastry Rob and I split- it was heaven.

Then we headed to Fish Creek for Peninsula State Park. First stop: Eagle Tower. We climbed the tower, enjoyed the awesome views and then made our descent down. I am pretty sure Ashley had a meltdown at some point but it is a bit hazy :) I try to block those from my memory now a days :)

Then we headed for another hike, this time along a recommended Eagle Trail. It started out promising but a mile into it both girls were exhausted and begging to be carried. Yup... this hike ranks as another low of our trip. Yes we saw some pretty stuff and the girls had fun walking in the caves and seeing the water but for the most part it was then whining and being carried (at one point I had Ashley on my back and Abby on my front).

After the hike we had lunch at Stillwaters on the Bay and tried to block the memory of the girls whining with a great fried walleye sandwich (hence the 7 pound weight gain!) Then we headed to the Confectionary sweet shoppe to let the girls pick out some sweets (we had bribed them along the hike). I found some candy from my childhood and chocolate covered toffee...... enough said

After naps we headed to the Bley's grocery store were we stocked up on graham crackers, marshmallows, hershey bars, Wisconsin pickles, Orange drink and some postcards. Just the necessities in life :) Then we had a BBQ dinner, lit the Bon Fire and had a night cap with some S'Mores :)

Peninsula State Park- Eagle Tower

We ate it too fast to get a picture- here is the last bite of the cherry filled goodness.
Everyone is stoked for the hike here :)

Both were very excited to be done- Ashley had fun playing in the dirt :)
Fish Creek Confectionary Sweet Shoppe!

Coloring was loved on this trip. Here they are taking a break from color by number to make some postcards :)

Bon Fire, Popsicles, Crush Soda and S'Mores. The girls LOVED watching the fire burn through the wood- they were mesmorized.
