Apparently 2 months ago aol and yahoo have updated some policy and it has been rejecting my automated blog posts to some of you. Not fair....

PS I am completely caught up on my blog by the way :)
I just may have to take it off private setting and make it public so you can visit it as you wish!

Summer, I mean August, bucket list
Well, since we have been traveling and busy most of the summer our old summer bucket list we made in the beginning of June is now our August Bucket List. We are going to be busy this month; good thing we are in town :)
We better get started :)

Just my book, a beer and the beach :)
On the 2-3 days that the girls didn't nap, they were in bed asleep by 7:30/8. And that gave me a chance to unwind by myself in the backyard on the beach with a book and a beer while watching the sunrise side of the island's sunset; ALL in a sweat shirt and sweat pants! Awwww the life :)
Door County Wisconsin Day 5 (Wednesday)
We started our Hump Day out with Abby playing with her sister's underwear. We all thought she was pretty funny :)
Then we headed out to Bailey's Harbor in search of a light house. We got lost and found some other cool treasures in Bailey's Harbor and eventually found the light house.
Then we headed to Cana Island to see it's light house. The island was beautiful but we were bummed when we found out that none of the girls could climb to the top of the lighthouse because of how windy it was. So we sent Daddy up as a representative. He said the view from the top was pretty awesome :)
We had lunch at the Blue Ox in Bailey's harbor and chowed down on their famous Ox Burger and Chili. It was fantastic. I was afraid for Abby; she sat in a high chair that was older then me. The girls were consumed by the black and white television showing old dancing movies. Then we made our way to the Yum Yum Tree for the girls to pick out goodies to take to the Door County Brewery Tasting Room (yes we brought all 3 children to a brewery tasting room). The girls fell in love with this wax bottles filled with flavored sugar water in them and every time we drove past the Yum Yum Tree they wanted to stop. And at 10 cents a piece, we would :) We enjoyed a walk along the Bailey Harbor waterfront park and then headed to the Door County Brewery.
A sampler for the adults, water for the children, pretzels and music for all. The girls ended up taking over the tasting room with their cuteness on the "stage" (or what to others was a rug). They danced, sang and even wrestled each other while Daddy and Mommy savored some local beer. Yum.
Then we continued out light house tour by driving back to Peninsula State Park to see the lighthouse there. The girls and I went on a modified tour while Daddy made a work call and stayed in the car while Abby slept. We got to go up in the lighthouse tower but not all the way up to the top. The girls were a little disappointed but at least they got to go up a little ways.
On our way out of the park we stopped at Nicolette Beach and played on yet another playground. This time there was a tire swing and it literally made Anna and Ashley's day. They giggled so hard and didn't want to ever get off :)
Then we headed home for dinner and had an early bedtime which meant beach time reading for mommy :)

We saw lots of seagulls this trip and loved watching them catch fish in the lake

A view of us at the picnic table from the top :)
We found a beach that was literally made up of tiny seashells. The girls were in their glory.
