Anna's teacher is a true believer of homework. Even in Kindergarten. I think it's good for a kid to practice what they learn and with Anna doing 1/2 day I was planning on their being a lot of take home stuff due to time.
We learned a couple things about homework our first time together.....
1. Anna and Mommy don't work together at night; homework time must be done during Abby's nap time
2. We use pencil, not crayon or pen to write
3. We need a quiet space away from all the action to do our best work
4. We need to do homework in 15 minute increments :)
So we created a work space (complete with a homework box full of pencils, crayons and erasers) and can't wait to utilize this space.
Now off to finish up our homework so we can turn it in on time for a free treasure from the treasure box!
