First Day of Kindergarten

A week ago tomorrow, Anna started Kindergarten. When I asked Anna today what her favorite part of kindergarten has been this past week, she looked at me and said, "learning." I thought she was going to say recess or PE :) I tell you what; this little bug sure is soaking in all that Mrs. Z has to give her.

But rewind back to that first day....

Her first day couldn't have went any better. Daddy was able to go into work late so he and mommy "walked" her in from the car to the school.

We ran into preschool Lucy while walking into kindergarten :) They exchanged a first day hug and then were on their way.

We walked Anna to her room, she put her backpack up, went to her seat and was all ready to learn. Then we left; Daddy to work and Mommy to a PTO meeting. She was a rock star. A complete rock star. She was ready.

When I picked her up, Anna said her day was great! She said kindergarten is even more awesome then preschool. She went on a hunt for Pete the class all over the school and got to see all the "special" classrooms. She even got to visit the nurse on the hunt :) She said they sang songs and then played with Clare, Lucy, Brooke and a new friend in her class named Dana at recess. She said she LOVED it and couldn't wait to go back the next day.
