First Day of Cheerleading
Busy, Busy Day. First day of school AND first day of cheer leading. No wonder why she was fast asleep by 7:15.
Today Anna had her first cheer leading practice and she did alright. She was a little hesitant to go into the class when it started but with a little push from mommy and hand holding from her coach she was well on her way to becoming a cheerleader right by the side of her cousin Kate (and I mean RIGHT by her side... so close we were scared Kate's arms would hit her!) She sat in the circle, did stretches and even did some cheer leading moves......
It was a hard day for Ashley.... all she wanted to do was be with her sister. She pretty much watched from the windows a majority of the time.
..... and then she saw mommy outside the window. 25 minutes had passed and I think a 30 minute class would have been perfect for her. She was near tears and just wanted to be held by mommy. Who can blame her? She had a big day. So not pressuring her to complete the class, I let her sit with me and then encouraged her to go back into class (which she did with her hands in her mouth and just standing there). So I waved her out and we left early.
I think that if she had had a nap and if she hadn't of seen me out of the window she would have lasted the entire practice. We will just wait and see how the next couple of weeks go before we decide to buy the uniform. I have a feeling that she is going to like it though because of how much fun she had the first 25 minutes. Only time will tell.
Much Love,
Jenny
