Super easy to make. Just rice, food coloring and rubbing alcohol and presto, you have colored rice!
The girls had a blast mixing the colors, scooping the rice up with measuring cups, playing with cars in them, pouring it into glass, funneling it through funnels, stepping on it, throwing it in the air and just making a mess. Good thing we did it outside and good thing I decided minutes into it to put a plastic table covering under us which made clean up super easy. I then stored it in a container and we have it to play with again; next time with no prep work!!!
It is amazing what keeps toddlers busy; our girls were playing with it for over and hour. I had to stop them for bath time or they would have kept on playing. Anna's response to the rice... "Where's purple?!?!" So I guess we will be making more colored rice someday...
