Today after swim team practice we headed to The Berry Patch to pick some blueberries. Season just opened this past weekend and with our upcoming vacation I wasn't sure picking would still be going on when we got back. We never got out their last year due to vacations and I really wanted to go. So since we had 2 hours open, we decided to pick!
The weather was perfect and we had fun.
Anna was in dream world and although she picked she mostly liked picking to eat while singing and putting on performances in the rows of blueberries. Other times she'd just be staring at other people there (she is my most superb people watcher). Oh and yes, she peed in the wood.
Ashley was my little picker. That little girl got to business and didn't stop until we stopped an hour later. And yes, she peed in the woods as well :)
As for Abby, she was a path of destruction. Picking the green ones, running through the patch over and under all the branches, putting every blue one she found in her mouth and dumping her bucket one too many times. But she had a ball.
Another bucket list item checked! Now onto making pies :)
They picked and picked but mostly they just wanted to (and did) EAT!
WOW did the pick a lot- 5 1/2 pounds!!!!
