Swim Meet #2

Anna's swim team swam against Deer Creek last night and they did AMAZING! There team is now 2-0 and Anna did great!!!!! Anna was hesitant at first but once she got through the first event (with me by the starter) she was good to go. She did ask me to be at the end of the lane waiting for her each time so I gladly did that. It's amazing how far she's come....

Grammy and Poppy came to watch and Anna was so excited to have an audience. I don't think the swim meet was long enough for all the snuggles she wanted from Poppy :)

Anna completed 4 races wonderfully in the 8 and under category (and she improved her time in all)

25 m Free: Finished 15th-  32.20 seconds
25 m Back: Finished 18th- 44.56 seconds
25 m Breast: Finished 8th (got her first colored individual ribbon)- 50.16 seconds
100 m Free Relay: Team finished 3rd- 2:09.70

That morning she went up to Coach Lauren and asked her to show her breast stroke since Anna was kind of nervous about swimming it in the meet that night, Coach Lauren spent 10 minutes with Anna in the pool practicing and come meet time she aced it. I was SO proud of her; most if the swimmers were disqualified in the breast stroke at her age (due to form difficulty) and Anna nailed it.

It is getting so fun watching her at the meets.

I actually sat a little at this meet :)
